The space

Spacious by anyone's standards, let alone New York's

This is the entire second floor of the building, reached by its own private entrance up a short porch. Every bedroom has a window, the floors are new hardwood, and a skylight keeps the living area bright through the day.

The living room has a new sofa bed, a dining table and a smart TV for YouTube and streaming. The kitchen is full-size and genuinely usable: refrigerator, stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, and plates, cups and utensils in the cupboards. Split-system air conditioning keeps things comfortable, and the Wi-Fi is fast enough to work on.

Fresh linens, towels, pillowcases and sheets are washed and made up before you arrive. There is a washer in the building and a dryer in the unit, plus a laundry service on the ground floor if you would rather not deal with it.
